    I had a post that I deleted but an image within the now deleted post is still indexed when a name is searched on google. How can this image be deleted from popping up when the name of the subject is searched?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No

    Hi there, First make sure you’ve deleted the image from your Media Library. Deleting a post containing the image does not delete the image itself.

    It will take some time for search engines to remove it from their cached results. WordPress.com has no control over that. You’ll need to wait until search engines recrawl and reindex your site.

    If you have a Google Search Console or Webmaster’s account, you might be able to speed up the process by resubmitting your site map.
