Image Position Shifts
-
Hi –
When I position an image either left or right in an entry and add a horizontal margin, the image tends to shift from left to right when I save changes and subsequently load the page. Or it will load correctly and will then shift if the mouse pointer traverses it.
I suspect I’m doing something wrong but have no idea what.
Amy help is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Sandy

What browser and version are you using? Are you using the Visual editor, or the HTML editor?

Hi –
I’m using IE 7 and both editors. I’ve tried changing the picture margin in both the image editor and in the HTML editor but it still shifts to either left or right (depending on where the picture is positioned – if it’s left, it shifts right, and vice versa.)
I did wonder if it just happens for me because it does seem to be prompted by moving the mouse cursor to “edit” at the bottom of the post, too.
Thanks.

I can only assume it’s some sort of setting in your browser, because I’ve never heard of that happening before. Try the Cookie Dance; log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and restart your computer. See if it happens again.

It does it regardless, yeah.
Have you visited my blog? If so, are the pictures shifting from side to side when you view and entry?

No, they don’t move. And the code looks perfectly normal as well. I’m stumped. Can you try signing in from another computer? Or looking at it without being signed in from a different computer?

Thanks for checking and for the input. I’m glad (and relieved) to know it’s not doing it for you. If it’s just me, I can live with it, although it is hard to coneptualize how the entry looks to visitors of the site. As you say, though, I can check from another computer and will do that.
Thanks for all your help!
