Image Posting for Readers

  What do I need to do so that others can post images to my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In order for other users to post images to your blog, you would need to add each of them as a user:

  Please read over the user roles carefully as this regulates what else the users are capable of doing (deleting your entire site in the case of an admin).

  Hi Jeremey,

  Thank you for your response! I would not want to grant access to every user, I would want site viewers to be able to post pictures. Similar to the chive or facebook. Does that make sense?

  Hi!

  Unfortunately, the main way would be to add them all as users on your blog as Contributors.

  One potential workaround would be to create an alternative user account yourself and add it as a contributor to your blog.

  Contributor accounts can create their own Post via Email address. So, you would be able to create an address specific to this new Contributor account:

  Post by Email

  Then, you could give that email address to readers. The benefit here is that the posts would need to be approved by you as the administrator before they get posted to the site.

  I would discourage giving out the Post via Email address for your administrator account as that would allow anyone to post directly to your blog without any approval needed.
