Image: Preview Page vs Direct
-
Hey,
I’m a little confused with what’s happening with my embedded images. I had it so that if someone were to click on an image, the image would pop up in a new tab as just the image but in full-size (Example: https://israelsgoodname.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/a-minefield.jpg) Now clicking on an image brings about a preview page which logs differently in my stats – something that I do not like (Example: https://israelsgoodname.wordpress.com/2015/11/15/belvoir/lookout-over-the-jordan-river-valley/)
I have looks in both the Support/Settings as well as browsed the Forums looking for where to change the image clicking redirect but haven’t found anything… is that feature missing by mistake?
Any help/suggestions?
Thanks!

Same problem almost. Have just loaded up my first page in several days. Nothing happens when clicking on an embedded image. I actually prefer this as a default, but I need the person viewing my site to be able to click on some images to open original, larger versions in a new browser tab. Simple in html of course, but how do I do it using the new editor?
Also, how do I edit previous blogs to prevent new tabs opening up?!
Many thanks.

After you insert the image, you can click on it, and then click the “link” button in the toolbar. You’ll then have the ability to link people to the full-size image (the URL of which is pre-populated in the link dialog box), or to another page altogether.
