Image problems on post Sharing.

When my blog posts links to google plus it adds a random picture instead of the featured image. I noticed it also does this when I reblog something. It pulls a picture from my primary sidebar instead of the featured image that belongs to the post. I am using the twenty fourteen theme.

We attempt to have the Featured Image be the preferred image for all social media channels, but sometimes the request of social media service ends up pulling another image:

In particular, I’ve often seen that Google+ may have skipped a featured image if the image was considered too large or too small for its posting.
Quickly taking a look at your posts and your site’s G+ page, I didn’t immediately see a G+ post where the image did not match a featured image. Would you mind pointing out a specific blog post / G+ post where this occurred?

I went in and removed the images but left the posts, i didn’t want people to think it was a spam and mark it as such. The next time I post ill see if i can get it to do it again. Thanks for your help.

Now I’ve noticed when I reblogged articles that they are not sharing with google + and twitter even though the boxes are checked. They are showing on the blog but nowhere else. is this normal?

I did find a post on google plus that shows my amazon store image which is the image that always gets chosen for some reason Also i’m noticing that reblogs are no longer showing on google plus. Even though all boxes are checked.

Regarding the Nov 29th post, “How to Survive a Riot & Live to Tell About”, I can see why Google+ would grab an image from your sidebar.
No images are loading in your body content at all. Not even your featured image:
The reason why is that in the Twenty Fourteen theme, featured images work best with images that are least 1038 pixels wide — your featured image on that post is only 1000 pixels wide. So it’s not displaying on your site properly, then Google + didn’t grab it properly.
Also i’m noticing that reblogs are no longer showing on google plus. Even though all boxes are checked.
I think you’re getting these errors because of a general Publicize connection problem. I saw this in your most recent post which happens to be a reblog:
Your user records also show your publicize connections to be broken on everything but Twitter. I’d recommend disconnecting/reconnect all your services following these steps:
