Image proportions on Home just changed!?

I am using the Gateway theme and yesterday I set it up with multiple posts / pages where I edited my “featured images” to work with the long horizontal format when in full screen computer view (not smart phone). The posts were showing up on the home page previews in this long narrow horizontal format. Today they are suddenly showing up in square format. On my computer. Not phone where yes, the format changes to square. What happened?

Right now it looks like your site is displaying a normal Gateway posts page – I’m not sure which horizontal format you’re describing though.
Is there a page on the Gateway Demo that looks like what you were seeing before? :)

Yes, but I swear for a while the posts were displaying with those featured images in a horizontal format. I now see it that way only when I am editing and click on my blog posts. Maybe I’m going crazy. So the way it looks now is how it should be? OK. I can live with that. Thanks for your help.

The format you have now is normal for the theme’s Posts page, yes :) You can also use one of the page templates that Gateway uses (although I see you’ve switched to Dyad for now!
