Image protection code
-
I’m trying to insert code so that viewers can’t right-click and copy my images. I must not be doing it right. I am pasting javascript into the
box in the image editor, and it's not working. I can still right-click on my images and copy them. What is the correct way to do this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We don’t actually allow javascript to be inserted in to WordPress.com for security reasons. You can see a list of the types of code which we do and do not allow right here:
In regards to protecting your image, disabling right click for your images doesn’t actually protect them much anyway, as a screenshot can always be taken or the source of the page can always be viewed and then the image URL scraped that way. Instead, if you are looking to protect your image, you may want to consider watermarking it so that your ownership is clearly stated.
