Image Quality

When I upload images the quality gets really bad. Is there a way to fix that and take off the compression feature? I have a free account.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I use blog editors to create the image in the exact size I require prior to uploading it. That means I get the best image quality and I don’t waste any of my free media storage space. See here https://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2009/11/28/ten-free-online-image-compression-and-optimzation-programs/

Note also that each theme has a detailed theme description page.
Example: Your detailed theme description page is at https://wordpress.com/themes/lovecraft/ and that’s where set up instructions for it are found. The live demo site is at https://lovecraftdemo.wordpress.com/

The answer is no regardless of upgrades.

So will the above blog editors give me at least a better shot at having decent quality photos?

The quality of the image you submit into any image editing program will always be compromised to a degree. However, if I did not think my advice was good advice I would not have posted it.
