Image quality… always the image quality…
-
Hi everyone…
I’ve installed the Dara theme and I’m still testing it although I don’t know what I’m gonna do if the quality issue isn’t solved, because it’s the only free theme that fits my needs.
I don’t use a Business plan.
My site is in wordpress.com and the address is Laura Pio
It’s very important for me to get it solved because I work as a photo retoucher – thus the quality of my images is the most important thing in the site.

Working through my 14 inch laptop the images have a slight quality loss, mostly when I set a featured image on the page, when all the other images on the page lose a bit of quality too. The featured images which are shown on the frontpage’s slider look just reasonable too; not as sharp as the originals.
So far, so good.
The real problem appeared when I accessed my website from my 21,5 inch pc (Google Chrome): the images on the featured slider look much worse, especially the second and third photos. The photos on the pages look ok (just ok – check the page “Eventos”), but the frontpage ruins everything. Even the colors look different even though all my work is uploaded in sRGB. I’ve also tried way more sharpness on Photoshop and quality isn’t the same.
I have to say I’ve tried several sizes and nothing’s changed. First picture (Christmas dogs) is 1500 x 762. Second (girl in blue) is 1920 x 1280. Third (dog alone) is 3000 x 2024. Please check the 3rd picture’s original quality here
I’m hopeful somebody will help me solve it otherwise I just can’t use my site.

Is it possible to set the frontpage slider to work automatically or it just works manually by clicking the arrows?

Still on “Eventos” page (the only one I published a couple of photos for testing), you can check how the page isn’t aligned. It’s on the right side. I’m using the full width template page. How can it be adjusted correctly?
I’m looking forward to a solution. Thanks in advance.
Laura

Couldn’t edit the post. The latter issue (about the alignement) has finally been solved.
I’ll wait for a good soul to help me fix the image quality poblem though.
