Image Quality Looks Different Upon Previewing/Publishing

I recently exported my squarespace site and imported it to wordpress, and I knew that there would be some kinks to work out, but I’m having a ton of issues with the image quality in my blog posts. I’ve resized and optimized my images for the web and when I upload them and insert them into my post editor, they look great, but in the previewed or published versions of my posts, the images lose quality. I’ve scoured the internet for a solution but I’m having no luck. I’m working with a premium theme uploaded from Studiopress themes. The theme is called Foodie Pro. If someone could tell me how to preserve the quality of my images, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi wjt123,

The link you have provided gives a 404. Are you sure you are using WordPress.com for your site?

Please refer this to understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

In case you are using self-hosted WordPress (i.e. WordPress.org) You can seek support here:

    Hope that helps,

    Hi patilswapnilv2,

Sorry, I failed to mention that my site is not live yet because I have not transferred my domain from Squarespace to Bluehost/Wordpress yet. Right now, my Squarespace site is still live. I am positive that I am using WordPress.com, though. I’m just making edits and saving as drafts. I wanted to wait to make the full switch until I was happy with the new design of my site.

  • @wjt123 since your site is a self-hosted installation at Bluehost, you’ll want to use the forums over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead. You’ll also want to have it public so folks can access it to help you.

    Good luck!
