Image Removal

  Hi everybody,

  Greeting!

  I have a question on how to remove an image which already been uploaded and deleted in the WordPress but still appears in Google Image Search?

  Appreciate to have your help and advice. Thanks.

  Hello!

  Ensure that the image is returning a 404 error, and the next time Google crawls the site, it should remove it from it’s cache. It’s been known to take some time, but eventually it will disappear if there’s no image anywhere.

  If the image has been deleted from your Media Library, you could try using Google’s Remove Outdated Content tool:

  https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en

  You’ll need to enter the URL of the image copied from Google Search Results.
