Image repetition

  Hi can anyone tell me why the image on my first post on the front page is repeated? When I have tried to rectify this in customize the images disappeared from the Portfolio front page…. I have tried all 3 combinations for image accompanying posts….

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello @howpreciousprecioushow,
  Your theme is picking up the first image from the posts and setting it as a featured image.

  So follow these steps, to turn that off:
  1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
  2. On the sidebar of the Customizer, click Content Options.
  3. And then Uncheck “Automatically use first image in post“
  4. Click Save & Publish.

  Thanks for your help…I tried this but then the images from the portfolio section disappear… so in the end I deleted the image from the home page post and set it as a featured image instead.. this seems to work. All a bit confusing!

  Hmmm… maybe the portfolio section was doing the same thing: “picking up the first image from the posts and setting it as a featured image“.
