Image Restriction

I currently have a function to upload images in my website. I want that function to have restrictions. Is it possible to only allow the images that will be uploaded to be square? Basically, it won’t accept any uploaded images if it’s not square. I’m not talking about cropping the images that they upload. I’m talking about only allowing images with square dimensions. The uploaded image has to be square or it won’t be accepted. Thank you.

There is not an existing off-the-shelf plugin that I can find that allows you to reject image uploads based on their crop ratio (square in your example) so in this case I think you will need to hire a web developer to help you create this custom functionality.
Note that it’s much more common to see plugins that offer you (as the site owner) the option to crop images upon upload. This is one example I could find that may help if you are willing to consider that option: Word press offered an upgrade to us AFTER we just renewed for the year.

I tried reaching out to support but they said that it’s out of their jurisdiction as I’m using a plugin and a theme for my website. I was wondering why it would be out of their jurisdiction if the problem itself is uploading an image, which is basically one of the functions with or without the plugin.

I have reviewed that conversation, and I can confirm that we are not able to help with the form on that site. To clarify, WordPress is an open platform where 3rd party companies (who we are not directly related to) can create their own plugins and themes that are designed to “work with WordPress”
In this case the theme you are using (ListingHive) uses a custom form that they created, and we are not familiar with. Because we don’t have any experience of the code involved in creating that form, we are not able to help customize it.
The good news is that the makers of your theme (and the form that it uses) do offer support on their end, which can be reached here: https://help.hivepress.io/
Because they are familiar with the theme they created as well as the form on that page, they are in the best position to help you customize it to suit your needs and will be able to assist you.
