Image rollovers
-
I would like to post an edited picture on my blog and set it up so that when viewers roll the mouse over either the picture itself or a piece of text, i.e. “Show Original,” the picture will change to show the original picture. Is this possible to do on WordPress? I have the CSS upgrade but am not all that proficient.

There is a way using CSS but it can become laborious if you plan to do it on every single image, and not only that, but would increase the size of your CSS greatly and quickly.
I’m using one of my photos as an example here:

I would use this technique rarely because for every photo you’d need to define a new selector in your CSS.

We can post images of various sizes and link them to full size images. Also we have some new themes that have “featured images” and you can read about that here. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/This is not what you are looking for but it is a cool rollover you may be interested in checking out. This works only if you have the social vibe widget, but it might interest you as well:
<a class="thickbox" href="http://POP-UP-IMAGE"><img style="border:0 none;margin:0;padding:0;" title="25-mar-2010" src="http://CLICK-ON-IMAGE" alt=""/></a>
