image rotation
-
hey!
I was wondering if anyone knows how to rotate images. They are properly aligned on my computer, but as soon as I upload them they are aligned horizontally (they are supposed to be vertical). What should I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you uploading the images from your computer to wordpress, or are they on a image sharing site such as flickr?

I’m uploading them right from my computer. On my computer they are rotated to the right position (vertically) but when I upload them, they are horizontal. Thanks for your help!

If that is the case, and you are not using something like DXO or iPhoto, then that is strange. I’ve never had this issue. What program are you using to prepare your images for the web?

I’m not really editing them much… just rotating them with Preview, a built in application on Macs. Should I upload them again using iPhoto? How do I go about doing that?
-
No, I use preview to rotate all the time with no problems. Try doing a “save as” out of preview after saving.

I saved everything in iPhoto, re-exported them, and am now re-importing them all into the blog. Hahaha. Thanks so much for your help!
