Image shows up twice

  Why does my image show up twice? In the edit mode, I have three pictures. When I view it, the first picture displays twice. I don’t have a featured image set. I also tried to copy the content into a new post and it still duplicates my first picture in view mode. Why?

  Hello @chereabanik
  Your theme might be picking up the first image from the posts and setting it as a featured image.

  So follow these steps, to turn that off:
  1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
  2. On the sidebar of the Customizer, click Content Options.
  3. And then Uncheck “Automatically use first image in post“
  4. Click Save & Publish.

  That sounds like what is happening. Although it even happened when I deleted the first picture and then chose a featured image, the featured image still appears twice. But I will try this. Thank you!
