why oh why can’t i change the size of my image? I don’t find the editing option that shows up on the faq…
help

What kind of editing you need to do, in w/h, pixels or kb? What faq question are you thinking of?
You can edit the width and hight by draging in marked picture in blog or change it in html view.

All I want to do is make the picture smaller. Clicking and dragging the corner isn’t making my image smaller.
In the faq, it says that you can click edit and it gives you various sizes for your picture which i don’t see anywhere. I suppose I could edit the size with that

Do you use WYSIWYG viev? I can do it in that view. Don´t know what FAQ link you mean so I can´t read for myself

WordPress.com does not have built-in image re-sizing as a feature as yet. However, you can place your image in Microsoft Paint or Photoshop and resize it. Also Mark has included some valuable information in the FAQs you may wish to consult http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/08/optimise-your-images/

Actually you can do image resizing via changing the height and width tags within the image tag. Although that would really just mess up the image I would think if you did something wrong. I’d rather do the resizing with an image program myself.

can anybody tell me why my avatar doesn’t show up out on the tag surfer? Now I’ll look stupid if it shows up next to this post.
(edit 2 seconds later)…and just like I said there it is..but it still doesn’t show up out on the tag surfer so I still need help :)

Give it time. The avatars are cached. You may even want to try clearing your cache and doing a forced reload of the page in question to see if it changes.

Another image question: I sized my image in photoshop, and saved as a jpeg. I upload to wordpress. When I add the image link to blog, the image shows up HUGE for some reason and when I resize it to the pixel size I want it looks crappy like it has been scaled. What’s up with that?

Are you sure you’re not working with the thumbnail instead of the actual picture when resizing it? Sounds like it.
