image size

  Is there a way to determine the image size needed for each location?

  I have used 2 different themes and each has a different size image requirement for the front page. finding that size is hit and miss.

  Go to the footer of the theme you are currently using and click the name of the theme link to locate the theme description page. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentytwelve/
  Scroll down to Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels)
