Hello,
I have manifest theme.
Blog is 333arts.net
I want to post a pic to my latest post so that the pic takes up the whole screen. I used to know how to do this (see previous post) but can’t remember. I’ve looked everywhere in the guides etc and can’t work it out.
Please don’t do it for me (some engineers do that, I then don’t learn, one learns by doing).
If you could let me know how I make the pic full screen size (as in my previous post of The Fourth Wise Man) that would be great.
Thank you.
I will keep a file of your directions so I can refer to it next time (and won’t have to bother you again … :)
Thank you.
Michael

Hi Michael!
The easiest way to do this is to select “Full Size” from the size options when you’re adding a new image. When you add an image to your post, you should be presented with a screen that looks like this:
If you select “full size” from the drop-down menu, the image will be inserted into the post as the full image (not cropped).
The only issue is that if your image is not wide enough or large enough, it will not take up the full post. See your recent image as an example:
https://333arts.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=302&action=edit
The dimensions of the image are 214 × 317. So, even at full size, that isn’t going to be wide enough or tall enough to take up the full space you want. In this scenario, your best bet is to upload a larger image. You could look at blowing this image up, but it may distort and pixelate.
Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hello Jeremy
Thank you. That explains it.
What size is wide enough/tall enough?
Thank you for your help.

Michael

Currently, your post content is 500px wide. So, if you add an image that is 500px wide or wider, it will fill up the entire content width. Is that what you’re looking for?
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hello Jeremy
What I’m after is … what do the (minimum) dimensions of the pic have to be in order for it to take up the full screen?
Thank you.

Hi Michael,
Make sure the width of the image has a minimum of 650 px and it should take up the entire width of the post just like your “The Fourth Wise Man” post.
Cheers!
