Hi,
I’m trying to set up a consistent appearance for my recipe pages. Under the recipe, I want to include 4 images in each post, which appear in a 2 row x 2 column arrangement (so 4 square images in a square-box arrangement).
For one of my posts, this worked when I made each image square 660 x 660, and created a gallery and selected ‘full size’ and ‘square tiles’. However when I tried this for another post, using the same settings, it didn’t work. There was one large image on top and 3 small images underneath… Can you tell me what the problem is?
Many thanks,
EliThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! Can you link me to the post that worked and a subsequent post that didn’t work?

An example of a post in which the gallery worked (the first gallery in the post shows 4 photos in a square, 2 column x 2 row arrangement):

And a post in which it isn’t working:

Hey Eli!
I see the issue and will talk you through how to fix it.
- Open your post in the editor, by click the link below:
https://wordpress.com/post/86446814/918/?optin - Click the HTML tab above your content box.
- You will see this shortcode for your gallery:
[gallery type="square" size="full" ids="943,937,938,941"] - Change the shortcode to read:
[gallery type="square" columns="2" size="full" ids="943,937,938,941"]By doing this, you’re adding the 2-column specification to your gallery.
- Make sure to Save your changes!
That should do the trick! If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)
