Image Size
-
On my blog, I did a feature (‘Thank the Lord 2’ dated 23 Sept) where I imported several pictures. A couple of them are shown full-size because the excellent WP Gallery system did not allow me to change the pictures to ‘Medium’. I’m not too bothered, but for future reference, could you tell me, please; 1). Why this feature is sometimes ‘greyed out’ so as to not be available, and 2). Is there any way that I can overcome the problem?
Many thanks. http://dickiebo.wordpress.com -
Nice to see you again, dickiebo!
– The buttons get greyed out when there’s no point using them; depends on the size of the image and the sizes you have set at Settings>Media.
– You haven’t actually used the gallery feature, which means mass processing of all images in a post. You have posted them as separate images the “normal” way.
– But you’ve used wrong coding again: for a column of images interspersed with bits of text, the code for a table had no place (text, line break, image, line break, text etc. is all it would have taken). In your html post editor you should remove all the bracketed “table”, “tbody”, “tr” and “td”. Then in your visual editor you can click on each image you want to edit, click the “mountain” icon that shows up, modify the specs, update and save.

Pana; I’m buggered if I know howcome you know so much but – it is impressive!!
As you can tell, I know NOTHING about coding, and what happened occurs when I cut and paste, etc. I shall learn as I go along – God willing, and Volunteers patience permitting! Thanks very much indeed. Sure do appreciate your help.
