Image size altered after adding alt text

  I added alt text to some of my existing images and afterwards found that my pictures were displayed smaller than before. Since then I have removed the alt text again and now my images are the same size they were before adding alt text.
  Is it possible for the alt text to cause a change in the size an image is displayed?

  In theory it shouldn’t be possible. If you wish you can try it again in a post and link to that post so we can check what goes wrong.

  Thanks for your reply justpi! I started doing it in html and now it seems to be working.
