Help I can’t use my photoblog!!! When I make a new post: the pictures can be bigger then (full size 315 × 244), while all the previous picture post were 1024×794.
All the setting are the same , In the Media Library I see that all the picture are 1024×794 , but under by the Sizes the Fullest size is (315 × 244).
How can I solve this problem, Thanks GuidoThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I’m facing the exact same problem with my Monotone-themed blog. Except that the images stored in my library do not exceed 800 pixels on the longest end. The ‘Full Size’ option has now been shrunk from my customised 485 x 795 to 315 x 516.
A little express help would be nice :)

When I insert the picture in the post.I can change later the size. It’s a little bit strange, but it works for now. Maybe also for you

Thanks.
It shows up fine after it’s been published, or in preview. Just not during drafting.
Strange.
Thanks anyway.

The “Full Size” option was changed (after a Support ticket from me, to be precise) in order to correct a problem with the attachment pages of the theme.
In theory you could switch to html and change the numbers afterwards, as guidobenschop says, or delete the numbers altogether, or go to Settings>Media, set the preferred width as your “Large” option and use that option when inserting the images.
In practice none of that is needed, since Monotone displays images in real size anyway. It’s best to upload images no wider than 800px, because above that you don’t get the colored border around all four sides of the image.

My images keep posting as thumbnails, even though I import them using the media uploader, and the html code seems to display them at 100%. Images preview properly in the dashboard page editor. Ive also tried using the page editor media importer, and a plug in for importing images all with the same result.
Here is an example:
the sample earth image should be 324 x 324, but no what image I post there, it appears as a thumbnail. I deleted the medium and large image settings as advised, and set the max image size to 700 px which should be fine. Im using the latest version of WordPress…Im stumped. Ive tried all the image formats as well.
Ive used the Monotech theme and modified the css.
Any ideas? -
Well, that’s not a WordPress.COM blog, so you need to be at WordPress.ORG instead. Our answers won’t apply to you.

Hi – I have inserted pictures that are stored on another site. The html specifies a size of 620, and when you right click to view the properties, it says that they are 620 px wide, but they are displaying squished, much smaller than 620. So everything indicates that they are actually larger than they are appearing. Any help?

Hm. In firefox it’s displaying squished, in IE, it’s just simply displaying at 450 px wide and in proportion. Everything is smaller, even the image map. I checked the media settings, and they are set to something like 1000 px wide for large images, and the css template is set for max 650 px for the post column images.

Hello,
I am also having problems with image sizes in my Monotone theme.
I am inserting images through linking to a URL, but sometimes the real size of these images are too big (i.e. bigger than 800px wide so exceeds the border). I thought I would just be able to change the image size in the html but it has no effect whatsoever, they still stay the same size.
Please help!
Thanks for your time,Adam.

@pingere: As I mention in my previous post above, and as you’ve found out, Monotone displays images in real size no matter what width you specify. So, instead of using the insert by URL option, you need to upload the images to your blog after you copy them to your computer and downsize them using an image editing application.

ok thanks panaghiotisadam for your help…. a bit annoying to have a constraint like that but not the end of the world!
