Image size help!!

  Hi there. I was wondering whether there was a way to alter the image sizing of the first image on my wordpress page so that it appears full size – without the black columns. (The biggest image/most recent post) It only ever seems to happen to this one, and not the other 2 posts displayed. I try resizing them each time, but does not good.
  Also, the problem only occurs when accessing my site from a desktop, not from mobile.
