Image size issue

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, when in the editor my images on my homepage are all the same size. They look it, and if I look at the image size and dimensions in the settings they are the same. However if you look my home page you can see that the small images aren’t all the same size, which then throw the text out of alignment. Any suggestions?

  • Hi there!

I had a look at the images you mentioned and noticed that they have a different ratio. For example, have a look at the one from the canals of Bruges, it’s 5184x3456px, which is a ratio of 3:2. The Bamburg Castle, however, is 600x3750px, which gives you the ratio 8:5.

On your homepage, your images will be scaled to the same width, however, the height will be different (otherwise the image would look distorted).

The best solution here is to crop the image to the same ratio.

    I hope that helps :)

Also, bear in mind that with your Personal plan you have access to email support via https://wordpress.com/help/contact.
