Image sizing

I was wondering if there is a way to choose the image size before publishing the post by choosing small, medium or large and also if there is away of selecting said size as the permanent size for posts on a particular blog.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Of course you can – that’s the whole reason why these options are there.
    a) Full size means original size, if the original is narrower than the maximum the theme allows (= usually the width of the main column), or downsized to that maximum, if the original is wider.
The other three options are supposed to be three preset options for inserting smaller versions of your images. You set the defaults for these options yourself in Settings > Media.
    b) The Add Media tool remembers your last selections, so if you select one of the size options upon inserting an image, this option will be pre-selected the next time you insert an image (except if the size of the image makes the option unavailable).

Your blog is set to private, so if you need more details I need to know which theme you’re using.
