image sizing

  I cannot figure out how to make images that I upload from other sites fit either my header or the size I want them to be in my posts. If they are big enough, they are really blurry. I’ve tried changing pixels to the size recommended but then they get blurry. I’ve tried cropping but it is no longer the picture I want. Help!!
