Image sizing is not working.

I am currently using the “Dyad 2” theme and something has changed that I can’t figure out; I used to post just fine and if you check out the current posts, vs this just post:

You’ll see that earlier my images used to get easily sized and aligned left/right as needed.
NOW, all my posts from the post following this one are all showing all images dead centre in pretty much full size, no alignment.
It’s a minor problem but I’ve gone back into the posts and the setting for the image is there for “medium” size and alignment chosen, but this does not reflect on the post.
I then thought maybe it’s a theme thing but then why would the older posts be fine?

I have been using the Dyad2 theme for some time now but I am finding for some reason that despite my pointedly changing the image size in the block to medium (as I’ve done for ages), in the final post, the images are all full-blown size and neither my sizing nor my left/right justify choices seem to have any bearing on how it looks.
Cannot figure out why this is happening and so seeking more help.WP.com: Yes

Is there no advice/ideas anyone can give me for this? Please?
Been loyally using WP for years and this is a major annoyance – I even tried switching themes but I’m having the same problem!
