Image sorting, size and placement on blog

  What is the best way to add images to a blog post and have the images appear in date order / or sort by image name?
  Also, is there a quick way to add images in one column, with a space in between each image?
  When I add images to a blog, they are either very small, not in date order or so close to each other in column view that I have to manually enter spaces between each image.
  Also, can I add a slideshow to a post that has images also?
  Also, how can you make the images really big!! ? My images are small on the blog.
