image stretched when adding a caption in an image widget
-
Hi,
When I try and add a caption to an image widget the image gets stretched out of the correct ratio – which doesn’t happen when you leave it without a caption. On http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/
it mentions that adding a caption will add a border a style added which is optional but I can’t see where the option is to turn it off. Could it be this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you manually entering the image’s width/height when you are setting up the widget? Or are you leaving it blank?

But not that a) some bad browser versions may not understand how the image is downsized by the Image widget and may display it in its original size or distorted; b) images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness. So for best results you should use an image editing application to downsize copies of the images to the right pixel width (then upload these copies via Media > Add New, click Edit, copy their File URL, use that URL in the widget). Right width for the sidebar in Twenty Twelve is 250 pixels (or less).
