Image stretching

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi.
When I upload images they stretch across the entire width of the screen. There is no scalability. They’re either pretty small or totally enormous. This only started happening relatively recently.
It doesn’t happen when I view the site on an iPhone (it renders perfectly on a mobile device), just through a desktop. I’ve tried several Macs and also tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome. It happens on them all.
I’ve messed about with the setting and looked on the forums for an answer, to no avail.
I’m sure it’s simple (once you know what to do).
I’d be grateful if someone could walk me through it.
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
When you upload your images in your posts in the new editor, you can resize them by following any of these steps:
    – Insert your image, click it, and you’ll see a dash “-“. Click here to decrease the size of your image. You can also drag the corners of the image to resize it.
As an alternative, you can use the old editor:
    – Click My Sites > WP Admin
    – Click Posts and Add New
    – When you select an image in the Media Library, you’ll find the option Size at the bottom right side. You can pick from here different sizes for your image.

    Hi Carladoria.
Thanks very much for your help and advice.
I’ll follow your instructions and sort it out.
I’ve not posted much over the last couple of months and have forgotten how the ‘new’ interface works ;-)
I’ll let you know how I get on.
Once again, thanks very much for your kind (and speedy) help.
