image tags being altered when saved; dropping ‘title’

  Hello. I’m trying to include external images in posts and have 90% success, but noticed that when clicking save, the ‘title’ reference in <img src>, which i want in order to have a mouseover display a comment about the image, is not retained.

  I’ve tried numerous ways to sequence the tags and found that this way works the most consistently, BUT ‘title’ still disappears:

  BEFORE
  <img src=”http://www.fox.com/24/profiles/images/cWallpaper_jb_1_tn.jpg” align=”left” hspace=”5″ vspace=”5″ title=”testing” alt=”testing” />

  AFTER CLICKING SAVE:
  <img src=”http://www.fox.com/24/profiles/images/cWallpaper_jb_1_tn.jpg” align=”left” hspace=”5″ vspace=”5″ alt=”testing” />

  ANY THOUGHTS? IDEAS? SOMETHING I’VE MISSED?

  From a quick read on the support forum over at wp.org, it appears that it’s suppose to retain it.

  I’d go ahead and submit this via the feedback link myself as it appears to be a bug of some sort. From what I’ve seen, it’s not suppose to strip it out.

  aha… my bad all along; title tag is within URL not image tag. Sorry.

  Actually the title tag is allowed within the img link. At least that’s what w3.org states.
