Why isn't my caption wrapping?
-
Why does the image caption appear differently for these 2 posts?
1) http://agentbotak.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/mega-property-sales-on-the-cards-in-orchard-area/
For this post, the image caption is nicely wrapped according to the width of the image.
2) http://agentbotak.wordpress.com/2011/05/24/inflation-takes-breather-economists-hold-breath/
For this post, the image caption does not wrap according to the width of the image even though I inserted the image/caption in the same manner as the 1st post.
I have tried to update the image part in the 2nd post. Everytime I update it, it appears ok on my “edit post” page. But shortly after, it will change on its own to the version where it does not wrap according to the width.
Why is this so?

It looks like some junk got added into the caption, possible during an edit, or it might have been copied and pasted.
Would you mind deleting the image and attempting to reinsert it?

I tried. It did not work.
I think I know what is causing the problem. It happens when the 2 conditions below are true:
1) caption text is longer than the width of the image
2) the image shown is the actual image (no reduction in size)If caption text is longer than the width of the image but the image shown is actually at a reduced size (you can choose to reduce the size to 90%, 80% etc when editing the image), then you will not have the problem.
This problem is something new. It did not previously happen even when both conditions 1 & 2 are true. I checked through my older posts and all posts that meet both conditions 1 & 2 are now having this problem.
Sounds like the problem lies with the backend of the system?

Hm, that is very interesting.
I’ll dig a bit deeper and see if we can locate the problem.
Thanks for checking that out for us!
