Image types?

  I am a bit confused. When I tried to add images, WordPress seemed to indicate that a range of file types were okay including pdfs, but the support page I just read said only jpgs, gifs, and something else.
  How do I turn pdfs into jpgs–do I need adobe acrobat or photoshop or some other program to do that?

  You can use Scribd:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/
  to embed pdfs.

  Or you could take screen shots of the pdfs.
