Yes, mike, that TinyMCE box relies on Java, but if she hasn’t had a problem before today it should not have suddenly become a problem. Oh, wait; you may have put your finger on it, because I BELIEVE they were going to fiddle with that in the upgrade. Maybe updating to the latest Java would help.

Having the same problem as kellianne73. Jpeg image appears in gallery just fine. I click insert into post, and nothing. No image appears. It won’t go in. Worked great before the change. Using Safari. Please help!

Well they changed the entire way image uploading is done now! Java is always screwing up *something* on the Net for me. I hate Java.

There was a rotating error yesterday where some people had certain of their images, including theme images, vanish for short periods of time. I concluded it was probably a server problem. I wonder if this might be related, in that the server the image is on is temporarily unavailable. If things clear up in a few minutes it will tell us that’s it.

I did the cookie dance. It didn’t help. I’ll trust that it’s not me, that they are going to fix it and all will be better soon. Or else I too am going to turn into one angry puppet come morn.

It seems to have worked its self out, but in an odd way . . went back and found all the uploading attemps at the top of the page, which were quite a few. Not where the insert type bar was located when being uploaded and inserted into the post . . just right up the top.
I deleted all but the one I wanted and then resized it and placed it in the location I needed . . . I will be placing more images in later, but I’ll leave it for now in case more changes are done with WP while I’m away from ‘puter . . . .

Doesn’t work for me…i’m in firefox on a mac. I get the blank screen when trying to submit an image. Ugh!

I can’t even see the complete box to upload a picture. Half of it is hidden well beneath the my taskbar making it impossible to to hit “upload” wherever that might be.
A creature of habit, I liked the old Dashboard much better. Much easier to navigate.

I think this was an artifact of whatever tweaking WP was still doing. I found in my Media Library an image I tried to upload when things were first changed. I could have sworn it *wasn’t* uploaded. But there it was!
Technology will aggravate us all to death.

What resolution is your screen? You just freaked me out. I wonder what happens if someone tries to upload an image on an Asus EeePC, which has a lower-res screen?!

Having given up getting the attention of WordPress here, I’ve sent in a formal bug reportr about my issues.
