image upload doesn’t work

I have 3 different blogs registered under my name. On the first two of them, image upload works fine, but on the third there’s a problem. When I have selected a gif file and press “upload”, the image itself is not displayed – only its name shows. And when I press “send to editor”, also all I get is the name of the image, and under Uploads only a gray box appears of the same size as the file I tried to upload. Any suggestions what I’m doing wrong?

A suggestion: an image must have an individual name. Upload can go wrong if give the new image is given the same name as an old image sitting somewhere on the blog. So give it an other name and try again?

If the problem occurs on a regular basis with different pictures always on the one blog you definitely should contact support indicating the url of the affected blog and explaining the situation or pointing to this thread.
If you proceed in the same way on three blogs and you have problems only on one blog it must be a backend issue. -
i can’t upload image and i can’t public a post since one week. Is there any prob with my wordpress account or is a general prob? what should i do?

Things to remember when uploading images:
When creating and uploading an image to wordpress.com here are some basics worth remembering:
(1) Be sure your image is one of these file types – jpg, jpeg, png, gif (Note that bmp’s and tiff’s cannot be uploaded due to size).
(2) Do not use anything in the file name except letters and numbers. Use no spaces, no dashes, no underscores, or any type of special character or punctuation, except for the dot between the file name and the extension. Also make sure that the file name has an extension.
(3) If you are using iPhoto, then use the “export” function under the file menu to export the image to your desktop before trying to upload it to WordPress.
