Image upload problem

I haven’t uploaded any images to my blog for a few weeks, but now, when I click the ‘add an image’ icon above the post box, I get a warning that navigating away from the current page will cause loss of any changes made and then the page changes to a screen-filling page where you select the files to upload, rather than a smaller new window opening, which is what has happened before. And then the image is not inserted into the post, although it does appear to have been uploaded to the media gallery.
Are there any issues with image upload at present?
