Image upload seems slow
-
I’m trying to upload my image (which is ~5MB in size) to my WordPress.com website, but fails most of the time with progress bar being stuck at ~10%. During the past days, uploading an image >5MB in size only takes seconds.
I tried uploading images using the WordPress Admin website, but still no chance of successfully uploading the file. An error message appears that says “Post-processing of the image likely failed because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.”
I also tried uploading my image with a maximum width of 2500 pixels, but still no luck.
Is there currently a server issue with WordPress hence the reason why my image upload seems to always fail?
Thanks

Just a follow-up:
My Speedtest result ranges at 10Mbps Down/Up.
I’ve been encountering this issue since I registered my website to Google’s Search Console. Does that affect my WordPress.com performance?

I’m having the same trouble but it says “you are probably offline”
My net speed is 11mbps, tried resizing but still failed to upload

Hi there!
There’s nothing wrong with your sites, I have just tried to upload a 16MB image to both your media libraries and had no issue with that (no worries, I already removed it).
Have you checked if you’re running into the same issues when using a different internet source, like your mobile connection, for example? Also, bumping won’t help here as we work on threads from the oldest.
