Image upload window won’t close

Every time I add an image to my blog post, the image window won’t close and I can’t save my post. I usually have to close my browser and start over again.
When I click the “insert image” button, I can see it appear in my post behind the image upload window. But then the image upload window won’t close and I can’t save my post. I’ve let the computer sit for 10 minutes, I’ve clicked the “X” button on the window incessantly, but nothing works.
It’s been doing this for about two weeks now. I’ve never had any trouble inserting images before. Thanks for any info.

What browser and browser version are you using? If you are using Firefox, do you also have the google gears add-on installed in the browser (wordpress calls it “turbo”)?

OK, I have a couple suggestions.
First log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies (tools menu > clear private data… restart your browser and then try again.
If that does not do it, start a new post, insert and image into the post and when the screen stalls, force reload the page (view menu > reload) and see if that does the trick.
