Image Uploader for Classified Website

Hello all,
I am looking for a trusty image uploader for my WP based classified website. Users of the website place their own ads (like eBay) so I’m looking for something that works well and is visually appealing.

No plugins on WordPress.com, which is where we are here.
You’ll want to look at the Support doc I linked to so you understand the different flavors of WordPress.
