Image uploading help

  Every time i try uploading an image, i keep getting this error message: ‘Post-processing of the image failed. If this is a photo or a large image, please scale it down to 2500 pixels and upload it again.’

  The image is an animated GIF (i use them a lot in my articles) and it’s less than 2500 pixels in size.

  I’ve tried updating wordpress, clearing the browser’s history, refreshing the page, but nothing works.

  I’m afraid that, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Dreamhost.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
