image uploading- how to order chronologically;' and how to set main photo per pg

  hi, how do I select which photo in my post is to be the title image, the one that comes up when people search my archive of posts? How do I change this image? I don’t mean a header image that comes up right across the top, the ‘feature image’. I mean the photo that shows up when people are looking at a summary of m,y posts, with one photo from each showing. WordPress seems to have ranfdomly selected which photo this is for each post and I can’t change it.
  Also, when uploading several or many photos to each post, how do I determine the order they appear in, whichout posting one photo at a time? They often seem to appear in reverse chronological order.

  Hi there – I don’t see where there’s a thumbnail image in your archives. Could you link me directly to where these images appear, or make a screenshot and upload it to your Media Library? That’d help me know where you’re looking.

  As far as controlling the order of photos, if you insert them in a batch and not one at a time or in a gallery, then you can’t control what order they appear in – it will just be the order they uploaded to your Media Library. But you can certainly move them after inserting them. Or you can upload them all in a batch, uncheck them once they’re uploaded, and insert them into the post one at a time.
