Image URL ISSUE

I am using WordPress for FTP image uploads.

few years ago we have used the path as per below ‘URL/wp-content/uploads
    /2021/07/
Animals_094.jpg’ and now I have use the same path to upload few more images, but when I tried to upload it’s uploading in ‘URL/wp-content/uploads/Animals_097-scaled.jpg’ I do not have control to upload in the earlier path, can you please advice me how it should be achieved?

Also, when I upload a new image, it’s directly appending the text as ‘-scaled.’ Say I upload an image as ‘Natural_01.jpg,’ it’s uploaded as ‘Natural_01-scaled.jpg.’

  • I’ll try to help you out by providing some information, but I’ll need extra details in order to provide a complete answer.

    Here we go:

    • The /2021/07 folders correspond to the year and month in which the files were uploaded. However, you have the flexibility to change this behavior in WordPress by adjusting the ‘Organize uploaded files into folders based on month and year’ checkbox in the media configuration settings. Do you have access to the WordPress panel?
    • WordPress automatically scales down images that exceed a height or width of 2560 pixels. These scaled-down versions are denoted by the ‘-scaled’ suffix.
    • If you can still upload images but to a different folder, you should be able to simply use the new URL associated with the image to view and utilize it. Is there another specific issue or limitation you’re encountering?
