Image URL not being accepted

  I’ve been trying to add an image from my Flickr account but can’t get the WordPress ‘add media file from URL’ dialog box to accept the image URL.

  I’ve used the links from the ‘Grab the link’
  http://www.flickr.com/photos/58752125@N07/5387774982/

  and the ‘Grab the HTML code’
  <img src=”http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5220/5387774982_0c0094e022.jpg” width=”500″ height=”375″ alt=”Low tide at Perranporth” />

  from Flickr but with no luck.

  It uploads fine from my hard drive and from my wp media library. I can also use the ‘Blog it’ option in Flickr.

  Any advice would be much appreciated.
  The photo is public and has no restrictions on it.

  If you mean inserting an image into a post the normal way, then http://www.flickr.com/photos/58752125@N07/5387774982/ won’t do because it’s the URL of a page, not an image. The image URL is this:
  http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5220/5387774982_0c0094e022.jpg

  (But if you’ve got the image in your computer, why fetch it from Flickr?)

  Yes, that works – thanks for your help.

  re: using the Flickr image rather than the one on my computer – I’m new to blogging and was just trying out inserting images into a post. I was originally trying to insert a different photo from Flickr under the Creative Commons licence but when that didn’t work, I was trying to isolate what the problem was using one of my own photos.
