Image visible on website but not in uploads folder

    Hello,

I’m migrating my wordpress from a provider to another one with same domain name (only FTP access and PhpMyAdmin). I did the backup of files and DB, fixed the wp-config.php file, created a new DB, restored it, copied all the files to the new FTP server.

When I get to the website URL (after making sure that DNS is propagated with nslookup) I see the website as expected but some images are missing (not shown on the page).

After investigation, it seems the old provider was serving the image https://www.lespoipoines.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/IMG_6974-scaled.jpeg but the file IMG_6974-scaled.jpeg could not be found in the uploads folders (I really looked for it everywhere)

I see on internet issues with images not showing up on page but present in the uploads folder, here is the total opposite.

Where could be this image stored locally (it was not an image imported from URL)

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

    Hi there!

Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host lespoipoines.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting.

To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.

Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at One.com. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue.

The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help.

    Thanks!
