Image when Sharing

    I’m trying to share my blog on other social media sites, but when I do the image is blank. How can I get either my header or an image from the post to show up in this spot? I know I can change it if I edit the HTML, but I can’t figure out how to do that either. Basically, I’m pretty lost.

    Hi there,

    There is a possibility that you shared posts previously when you didn’t have site icon or any image. So the site icon doesn’t get populated when you share posts.
    The data stored with facebook, twitter etc. needs to be updated. And here’s how you can refresh cached data.

    For facebook:
    – Go to Facebook debugger link https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
    – Type URL of the blog or post you wish to share
    – Click on Debug
    – Click on Scrape Again
    – You will see that the image is updated. Image can be site icon or post image.

    For twitter:
    – Go to Twitter debugger link https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator
    – Type URL of post
    – Click Preview card
    – You will see how your post will be shared
