Image Widget
-
I uploaded a small image to my library (200×20), created an image widget, but the URL will not stay in the widget URL field (I paste and click update and URL field is empty again). On my homepage the title of the widget displays, but no image. Only the text: “Please configure the Image widget in your widget settings”. I have reconfigured my widget settings multiple times with no results–image still does display on homepage. What am I doing wrong.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL of the image that you are putting in the widget? What are the visibility settings on the widget?

IThe short link is: http://wp.me/a3TbZT-2V
The permalink is:http://robinpraytor.wordpress.com/?attachment_id=181 (I’ve tried both–which should I be using?)
I’m trying to get to appear on home page left menu:
If I set visibility for Author/My Name = nothing
If I set visibility for Page/Front Page = Please configure the Image widget in your widget settings
If I set visibility for Category/All Category Pages = nothing
I don’t use Tags, and I don’t understand Date, which appears to be used only for archived pages. -
These URLs are both wrong. Image widgets require image URLs. Image URLs always end with the filetype extension (.jpg or .png etc).
Go to Media > Library, click Edit under the thumbnail, copy the complete URL from the File URL field of the Save module: that’s the URL you need.
