Image Widget
-
I have two image widget’s on my side bar on this blog:
http://priest4christ.wordpress.com/My problem is the right side of the image box does not appear…it looks like the image goes off the page. On the text widget there is a right side line that closes the box, but it does not show up on the two image widgets.
Here’s what I’ve tried already:
changing the alignment of the image
adjusting the width by 15 or so pixels
reimporting the same imagesHow do I fix this?
Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are using the Contempt theme and the sidebar width on that theme is 184 pixels in width. Objects exceeding the sidebar width will be cut off or badly aligned (or even break the theme in browsers such as IE).
wordpress.com will not overwrite images so if you keep uploading an images with the same file name it will default to the 1st image that you uploaded. The best approach at this juncture is to go into your Media Library and delete all the version you have previously uploaded. Then use either a desktop application to presize the images to the correct size before uploading them or use a free image resizer online like http://www.picresize.com/ to presize the images to the correct size before uploading them.

The Image widget doesn’t work correctly in Contempt, no matter what the image size. Use Text widgets instead.

Thanks guys! It looks likes it’s working this week and I didn’t have to change anything. We’re in the process of changing themes so I’ll keep that in mind!

Indeed I recall what the image widgets display was like last week. Staff have obviously been at work. The display has improved somewhat but the images and text are not centered in the widget.
