Image Widget in Sidebar

  I’m trying to learn to use WordPress.com. I’ve been trying to place an image in the sidebar using the image widget. When I add a caption to it a border should appear around the image and caption – it doesn’t happen. Also, I can’t get the image alignment function to work (i.e. right, left or center). Any help with this would be much appreciated. I’m using the Twenty Ten theme.

  Have you been using the instructions found here in support documentation? http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/

  I just tried this in my test blog using the Twenty Ten theme. The caption does not display in this theme but I was able to center my image in the widget.

  @outdooradviser This appears to be a bug with the Twenty Ten theme. I’ve reported it and we’ll work on fixing is as soon as we can.

  An update: we’ve fixed the image display issues, so images added via the Image Widget should be styled correctly now, whether places in the sidebar or the footer widget areas.
