Image widget keeps disappearing in my sidebar

  I have two images in my sidebar. they show up for a bit, but then the image will disappear and i have to go back into my widgets and paste the url link again to make the image appear. is there a reason this keeps happening? am i doing something wrong. i thought it was pretty straightforward.

  Image widgets require image URLs. Go to Media > Add New, upload each image from your computer, click Edit, copy the URL from the File URL field of the Save module: that’s the URL you need.
